Achievements

Summer Term 2017
Our overall prize winners for attendance and punctuality for the whole summer term were Year 3! They were presented with a total of £18 in our final award assembly of the year, which they can use to spend on end of year treats for their class. Very well done to Year 3 and Mrs Elkerton. 
 
Week beginning 10th July, the £2 attendance reward went to Year 3. The most punctual reward was shared between Years 1 and 4, so well done to all of them.
 
For the week beginning 3rd July, Year 5 were our best attenders with 98.6% so they will receive £2 for their bank account. The most punctual award goes jointly to Years 1 and 3, so £2 each to them as well. Well done to all.
 
Week beginning 26th June, best attendance was won by year 3 with 98%. They were also our most punctual class with only one pupil arriving late all week. Well done to them and £4 in their bank account!
 
For the week beginning 19th June, it was Year 6 who gained the best attendance with 99.5% which is excellent, so £2 for their bank account. The most punctual class was Year 3 with only two children arriving late all week. Well done to them and they will receive £2 as well.
 
Week beginning 12th June, Year 3 had the best attendance and Year 6 the fewest late arrivals. £2 each in their bank accounts.
 
 First week back after half term was not great for attendance or punctuality... Years 3 and 4 were tied for best attendance at 97.5%, and Year 3 had the most pupils coming in on time, only 3 lates all week. £2 for each of those classes in their bank accounts.  
 
For the last week before half term, it was Year 1 who earned £2 for their bank account with the best attendance. Most punctual class was Year 6, so they will also get £2. Well done to both. 
  
Week beginning 15th May, Year 4 had the best attendance with 98.7% and year 6 had the best punctuality with only one late arrival all week. Well done to both and £2 each for their bank accounts. 
  
Week beginning 8th May, our best attenders were Year 6 with 99%, to be expected because it was SATS week. Our most punctual classes were Years 1 and 4 - so that makes four weeks in a row now that Year 1 have won £2 to add to their bank account! 
  
Week beginning 1st May, which was only three days in school, Year 3 managed 100% attendance, and Year 1 managed 100% punctuality, which is great! £2 each for their bank accounts.
 
 For the first week back after Easter, Year 6 were our best attenders with 98%, and Year 1 our most punctual class with only one child coming in late all week. Well done and £2 to both to start their bank accounts off again!
 
  
 
 
Spring term 2017
 
To end the spring term, Year 4 were our best attenders for the week and Year 3 the most punctual. £2 each was added to their bank accounts. We are now able to reveal the grand totals for the term... and it is Year 1 who win hands down for being most the punctual and the best attenders overall. They will receive a massive £24 to spend on treats of their choice for the class. Well done Year 1!
 
Week beginning 20th March, best attendance went to Year 5 with 99.3%. Most punctual classes were Years 1 and 6. All three will receive £2 for their bank accounts when we break up for Easter next week. Well done!
  
Week beginning 13th March, it was Year 3 who took the award for best attendance with 99.7%, almost perfect! The award for fewest late arrivals was shared between Rec class and Year 1, with three each. All three classes will receive £2 for their bank account - well done! 
   
For the week of 6th March, Reception class and Year 1 share the award for best attendance and will get £2 each in their bank account. Year 1 is also the most punctual class, with the fewest late arrivals three weeks in a row, so well done to both and keep up the good work Year 1!  
 
 Week beginning 27th February, Reception class were the best attenders and will receive £2 for their bank account; Year 1 again showed the best punctuality so they will also receive £2.
  
The week before half term saw Year 5 earn themselves £2 for being the best attenders. Year 1 earned £2 for having the fewest late arrivals so well done to both. 
 
Week beginning 6th February, Year 1 achieved the best attendance and Year 3 the best punctuality - £2 each in their bank accounts. This week we are also celebrating our Year 6 library quiz team's performance in the schools' reading competition. The children did really well and are through to the final to be held on Thursday 16th March! We will keep you posted on how they get on..
 
 
Week beginning 30th Jan, Year 6 achieved 99% attendance and earned £2 for their bank account. Year 1 had the fewest late arrivals in the mornings, so also gained £2. Well done to both! 
 
 
We are very proud that six of our children graduated this week after completing a 10 week module with the Brilliant Club. The children have studied a programme of work based around the question, 'What is Fairness?' They have been taught by a PHD tutor who has helped them develop their philosophical thinking skills through discussions about fairness.
 
The children have been required to work at the same level as Year 7 and 8 pupils, completing detailed homework each week. The module ended with a 1,000 word assignment on Fairness. The children's work has been marked and graded by the University  - all passed with flying colours, with three children achieving a first!
 

The children went to Cambridge University on Monday this week to receive their certificate during a graduation ceremony.  Well done to Anton Pitter, Cheyenne Weastell, Ruth Howell, Bethany McBride, Nibras Dama and Babo Moyo!

 

              

 

 
 
 
 
Week beginning 16th January, Year 5 had the best attendance and Year 4 the fewest late arrivals. Well done to them and £2 each in their bank account.
 
Week beginning 9th January showed a slight improvement overall with attendance and punctuality. Year 1 again had the highest attendance. Years 2 and 3 shared the best punctuality. £2 to each of those three classes. 
 
Our first week back after the Christmas holiday, attendance was mixed, but one class shone out with no absences and no late arrivals.... Year One! So a fantastic job and they will receive £4 to start their bank account off for the New Year, well done! 
 
 
 
Autumn term 2016
 
There were lots of late arrivals the last week before Christmas... but two classes shared the lowest number, Years 1 and 6, so £2 to each of them for their bank accounts. The best attendance award went to Year 6 also, so they receive an extra £2. Well done to all.
 
Our winning class for best attendance week beginning 5th December, was Year 3. Most punctual class was Year 1 with only two pupils arriving late all week. Well done and £2 to each class.  
 
 
Week beginning 28th November was a great week for Year 1 who scored the best attendance with 98.1%. Punctuality was not so great across the school, with 56 children arriving late in the mornings... but Year 6 had the fewest number. Both classes will receive £2 each in their bank account. 
 
Week beginning 21st November, Year 3 were in first place for attendance for the third week in a row! Not only that, but they were also our most punctual class, with only one pupil arriving late all week.  Keep up the good work and £4 in your bank account.  Well done!
 
Week beginning 14th November, Year 3 were again our best attenders and will receive £2 for their bank account. Years 3 and 6 were tied for first place on punctuality, so both of them will received £2 as well. Well done to all.
 
Week beginning 7th November, the best attendance went to Year 3, so well done to them and £2 in their bank account. Year 5 proved to be the most punctual with not one pupil coming in late to school all week. A fab £2 to them as well! 
 
Week commencing 31st October - three classes shared the award for being the most punctual, Years 2, 4 and 6, so they will each receive £2 for their bank accounts. The best attendance award goes to Year 6 again, so keep up the good work, £2 to you!
 
Week beginning 17th October - our best attendance award goes to Year 6, and Years 1 and 5 share the punctuality award. Well done, £2 to each class for their bank accounts!

Week beginning 3rd October we had top attendance from two classes, Reception and Year 1 - well done to them and £2 each in their bank accounts! And three classes shared the best punctuality award, Years 1, 2 and 6 - £2 to each of them. Well done to all!
 
Tuesday 4th October saw traffic chaos across the area due to a fatal accident on the M6, so many of us were late into school that day... However, Thursday 6th October was a different story with 100% attendance across the school! This fantastic achievement was announced in assembly and Mrs Goodwin had a surprise reward for all the children later in the day!
 
Week beginning 26th September saw two classes share the best attendance figure: Reception Class and Year 1 both achieved 98.6% which is great! The class with fewest late arrivals was Year 5 with only two, so good news again. All three classes will receive £2 in their bank accounts!
 
Week beginning 19th September: best attendance award to Year 3 with 97.7%, and only two late arrivals for Year 4 - well done! 
 
 
 Attendance and punctuality have been good so far this term!
For the week beginning 12th September when our new reception pupils started with us full time, their class achieved the best attendance with a figure of 98.7% - keep it up!
The class with fewest late arrivals last week was Year 5, just one pupil coming in after the bell had gone.
Let's hope we can keep this excellent trend going for the rest of the term...
 

 

 

 

 

Summer Term 2016 

 
 
For the week beginning 4th July, there were no late arrivals at all in Year 4, so they get £2 in their bank account for being the most punctual class! In fact, the whole school only had 24 late arrivals all week, a 100% improvement on the week before! The best attendance reward went to Year 6, so £2 in their bank account as well!
 
Week beginning 27th June, Reception class had the best attendance for the third week in a row 98.9% - well done to them! However, throughout the week, we saw 48 children across the school arriving late,  Year 2 with the fewest... 
 
Week beginning 20th June, Reception class again had the best attendance with a figure of 98.1%. The fewest late arrivals were in Year 2. Congratulations to both! 
 
Week beginning 13th June, Reception class had the highest attendance with 99.6% - excellent! and the most punctual class was Y4 with only one pupil arriving late all week. Well done to both and £2 each in their bank accounts! 
 
 
When we came back after half term, our attendance winners were Year 5, and our punctuality winners were Year 2. Well done to both and £2 each in their bank accounts. 
 
The last week before half term saw two classes win the best punctuality award, Years 3 and 4, so they will each receive £1 for their bank account. The class with the best attendance was again Year 5. Well done to all! 
 
Week beginning 16th May, it was Year 5's turn to achieve 100% attendance, so very well done to Mr Byrom's class! The best punctuality award went to Year 4 with only one late child all week. Both classes will receive £2 for their bank account.  
 
Week beginning 9th May saw our Reception class gain 100% attendance, so very well done to them! and Year 2 managed no late arrivals all week so they receive the award for best punctuality. Both classes will receive £2 for their bank accounts! 
 
Week beginning 2nd May was only a three-day week for the children, so attendance figures appeared high, of-course! Year 3 had the best figure with 99.4%, plus they had the fewest number of late arrivals that week too, so a well-deserved £4 in their bank account.  
 
Week beginning 25th April,Year 1 had the best attendance with 97.3% and Year 2 had the best punctuality with only one pupil arriving late all week. Well done to both and £2 each for their bank accounts!
 
 
Week beginning 18th April, Year 5 gained the highest attendance figure with 97.9%, £2 in their bank account. Reception class had the fewest number of lates, only two all week, so they also earn £2 for their bank account. Well done to both.
 
 
Attendance figures were above average during our first week back after Easter, so well done to all classes. The highest achievers were Reception class with 99.6%, which is excellent! And Year 2 had no late arrivers all week, so very well done to them. £2 to both classes in their bank account!
 
 
 
Spring Term 2016
 
 
 
 
 The last week before we broke up for Easter saw Reception class winning the accolade for best attendance with 98.7%, so well done to them! And three classes all achieved the fewest lates so share the reward money: Years 3, 4 and 6! 
 
Week beginning 7th March: the award for best attendance went to Year 3 with an excellent 99.6%! £2 in their bank account. The class with fewest late arrivals all week was Year 4, so £2 to them as well. 
 
Week beginning 29th Feb: Year 4 took the acclaim for best attendance with 99.3%, the first time they have won it this term, so well done to them. Year 3 saw none of their class arrive late all week, which is excellent! £2 to both class' bank accounts!    
We did not have great attendance for the first week back after half term... The winner was Year 6 with 95.5%, so they will receive £2 for their bank account, but the lowest class only achieved 86.6% so we hope for an improvement next week. Punctuality was much better with the winning class only having one late arrival all week, Year 2. Well done to them, they will also receive £2 for their bank account. 
   
Week before half term: best attendance award went to Year 5, £2 to their bank account, and best punctuality award was shared between Years 2 and 4, so £1 to each of them. Well done to both!
 
Week beginning 1st Feb: Year 2 took the awards for both best attendance, 99%, and best punctuality, with only two late arrivals. They have earned themselves £4 to add to their bank account. Very well done to them! 
 
Week beginning 25th Jan: Reception class earned their first £2 this year to put in their bank account. They achieved the best attendance for that week, so well done to them. The best punctuality reward was split equally between Years 2 and 6, so they will each receive £1 too.
 
Week beginning 18th Jan: congratulations to Year 5 who achieved a perfect 100% attendance last week - £2 in to their bank account! And only one late arrival all week in Year 6 means they earned £2 for best punctuality. Well done to both!
 
 
Week beginning 11th Jan: best attendance again goes to Year 2, so £2 in their bank account, well done! And Year 2 also share the prize for fewest late arrivals during the week, with Reception Class, three pupils each, so both classes will get £1 each! 
 
 
A fantastic effort by Year 2 for our first week back after Christmas when they achieved both best attendance and best punctuality. They will receive £2 for each in their bank account!
 
 
 
Autumn Term 2015: this term we are introducing a new reward scheme to help us try and improve attendance and punctuality. The class with best weekly attendance and fewest number of lates, will be paid £2 for each into a 'mock' bank account. At the end of each term, the amounts will be added up and the children can spend their earnings on treats for their class!
 
Our first week into December saw Year 6 achieving the best attendance, with 99.5% - excellent! The best punctuality went to Year 2, so well done to them too. Both classes will receive £2 for their bank account. Keep up the good work!
 
 
 
 
 
Week-ending 27th November - for the first time since the beginning of September, Year 3 have achieved the best attendance this week with 99%, so a very well done to them for their extra effort! £2 will go in to their bank account.
 
The number of late arrivals in the mornings is much reduced this week, thanks to a concerted effort by all classes to improve their punctuality. The best class was Year 6, with only two pupils arriving late all week, fantastic! £2 will go in to their bank account as well.
