Welcome to Stretton C of E Academy, where we believe that all children have the right to success!

Once again 2017 brings lots of exciting priorities to continue to move the school forward and sustain our outstanding judgment. We are committed to working in partnership with you and Mrs Pater will be involved in planning lots of fun activities to get you involved with your child's learning. Some successes so far have included a Bedtime Book launch, Stay and Play, Remembrance Cafe and not to mention the Slow Cooker Challenge!

We are committed to ensuring your children achieve their full potential in all curriculum areas. We are focusing on reading this year and in particular are aiming for all of your children to be fluent readers and have the reading stamina that will prepare them for their journeys ahead. Mrs Joyce (our Deputy Headteacher) is leading this initiative and is keen to launch reading across the school.

It's an exciting time for Stretton where we are introducing a new approach to learning Maths. Mrs Leel is leading this initiative and is really excited about helping our children to develop the skills to solve problems, use different apparatus and explain how they got there.

We also continue to work on children having regular spelling sessions focused on the national expected spellings for their year groups.

Stretton is proud of its achievements so far and are always developing the personal qualities for the children. This term has focused on Understanding Others and Push Yourself. Our Christian Values drive our ethos and we have focused on Love and Peace and Reconciliation.

Thank you for all your ongoing support and engagement. If you would like to know more about our school priorities, please go to the parent tab above to access our School Improvement Plan for 2016/2017.

We hope that you enjoy finding out more about us through our web site!

Outstanding News for Stretton!

We had our SIAMS inspection on Friday 27th January. The inspector was focusing on lots of areas of the school, but in particular the Christian Values, Collective Worship and the Religious Education in the school. We were really pleased to say that the inspector was really impressed with the school and judges Stretton as an 'outstanding' school! Please click on the Christian Distinctiveness tab above to read the full report!

Please click on the icon to tell Ofsted what you think about Stretton Academy, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and  poor behaviour. You will find a short survey which can be completed at any time, not just when the school is being inspected.
